Cue the doves in places like Prague, Warsaw, Moscow, Tehran and Caracas. Peace is at hand—peace in our time. Central Europe, the region that provided the kindling for so many of the conflicts that have burst forth in full flame for nearly 100 years, is once again safe from its protectors.
Pardon me while I pause to fan myself while I tear up. We have been once more delivered–we as in all humanity, that ism delivered from the mean old policies of Dubya and company.
The good guys know better, trust them…One might call what we are seeing these days Yogi Berra like foreign policy as in its deja-vu all over again. We are underestimating Iran and appeasing Russia, all in the same fell swoop–remarkable.
OK one more time, the year is 1938 and there are some very bad people who are being underestimated by some very, supposedly bright but just incredibly naive people.
Though it happened more than 70 years ago, it is still relevant. It’s relevance is reinforced each and every time those who play with matches and kindling ignore the obvious to anyone with a brain lessons. The story will be less relevant when the world finally figures it out–Don’t hold your breath.

saying that Republican critics should stop picking on his wife.
Michelle O, is now crusading for ObamaCare under the guise of a championing woman who has been crushed by the system.
Riiight!
How long will it be this time before Michelle’s tender little feelings get hurt by ObamaCare critics, now that she is back on the public stage and Barry goes running to her aid that Conservatives need to leave Michelle O alone?

In May, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA accused the CIA of lying to the Congress. Obama’s CIA Chief Leon Panetta, immediately denied the allegations made by Pelosi as being unfounded.
Pelosi on Thursday pretending to be shaken up and nearly in tears, now claims ObamaCare Protesters are prone to violence.
This of course is coming from the same person who last month demonized Townhall Protesters as being un-American, spreading lies and distortions about Democrat-Socialists attempt to take over and nationalize health care.
Remember when Liberal Lefties said that political “protests are patriotic and political dissent is the highest form of patriotism!“
Nancy Pelosi is either nothing more than a hypocrite and a liar, otherwise she is delusional, incapable of distinguishing her fantasies from reality.

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by Thirty Nine brave men on this date in 1787, recognizing all who by coming of age or by naturalization have become American Citizens.
On the 17 September, 1787 Delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created.

Press Accuracy Hits 20 Year Low

Distrust of the establishment media sends most Americans to the Internet to get most of their news and information according to a Zogby International Poll published earlier this year.
In a new Pew Research assessment of Americans, just 29% say that the establishment media generally get their facts straight while 63% say that news stories are often inaccurate. Similarly only 26% of Americans now say that news organizations are careful that their reporting is not politically biased.

China Condemns U.S. Tariffs on Tires as Protectionism

Last week Obama back tracked on his own commitments and slapped 35% punitive tariffs on all car and light truck tires entering the United States from China.
Protectionism is shortsighted even for Obama. With mounting debts during Obama’s watch and CBO projections that the U.S. National Debt will nearly double over the next 10 years, who will be willing to continue to finance Democrat-Socialists spending spree?
In May, Obama said during a C Span interview “were out of money now” when asked about the exploding USA deficit. In August I wrote here since Obama took office in January, his deficit spending will exceed all of Bush’s deficits. In 2009, federal spending per household is $30,958 representing the largest expansion of government spending since 1952 and up 57% since 2001
China is the single largest creditor of the USA owning just over $800 Billion Dollars in July, 2009 followed by Japan.
Obama slapping tariffs on Chinese tires entering the USA is yet another further illustration of his naivety and lack of any coherent foreign policy.

On 27 December, 2008 after enduring an 8 year long barrage of 12,000 rockets and having exhausted all other options, Israel launched a military operation against Hamas in Gaza. Operation Cast Lead was limited to two objectives:
1. To stop the bombardment of Israeli civilians by destroying Hamas mortar and rocket launching apparatus and infrastructure;
2, To reduce the ability of Hamas and other Terrorist organizations in Gaza, to perpetuate future attacks against the civilian population in Israel.
