What are California Democrat-Socialists planning to do—raise taxes of course. Gov. Jerry Brown has proposed new $12 Billion Dollars in higher taxes on income (despite increasing unemployment) additional sales and car taxes, while Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner-Berkley, has proposed a new Amazon Tax which is being sold will add $300 Million to state coffers despite evidence to the contrary from Rhode Island, North Carolina and Colorado that enacted a similar tax, which generated no additional revenue, while hurting business and stifling economic growth.
Keynesian Democrat-Socialists (Progressives as they like to refer to themselves today) solution of raising taxes–user fees and such will have negative results, killing opportunity and driving people from the Golden State to lower taxed states.
A robust supply side economic plan instead would help to create incentives for expansion, new job development, economic prosperity while increasing revenue—the Laffer Curve remains true.

Geng He, spouse of missing Chinese Human Rights Atty Gao Zhisheng says that she hasn’t heard from her husband since he was kidnapped by Chinese Authorities and fears for his life.
Geng now living in the San Francisco Bay Area after having been granted political asylum, traveled to Washington this week, to lend her voice to the growing chorus of people that most certainly realize that human rights is much more than “just an issue” as President Obama described it.

Demagoguery and deranged shootings in Arizona have diverted national attention from the looming threat of municipal bond defaults–state and local government bankruptcies go hand in hand. This danger was identified months ago in a report by Meredith Whitney the report premise is that some governments will soon have difficulty funding transfers to local governments and given current out of control spending, approximately 100 municipalities will likely default.
On a scale of 1 to 10 we should count this threat as a level 10 problem and start ringing the alarms.

Illinois Dept of Corrections claimed they mistakenly dumped three trash bins full of new books last year–most unopened from publishers.
Taking out the trash a few weeks ago a Senior Citizen in Santa Clarita, CA saw a teenage boy rooting threw a trash bin while another boy stood as a lookout, the two boys fled scattering her discarded prescription bottles when they seen the unidentified woman.
The Senior attempted to understand what had witnessed the woman called her Pharmacy and was surprised to learn that her prescriptions were ready to be picked up at her convenience, no questions asked.
Dumpster Diving for discarded R/X Bottles to obtain illicit drugs. California Pharmacists Association said it first heard about theft of discarded prescription bottles about 5 years ago, it may have been prudent to have shared that information with their customers?
