(IBD) Last night President Obama announced that undocumented aliens will have to pay their back taxes as one of the preconditions of his amnesty order–unlike some 40 members of his own staff that as of last year were delinquent in paying $333,485 in back taxes.

(FOX News) The Obama Administration announced on Thursday that it has released 5 more Gitmo detainees after it was determined that they no longer posed a risk of returning to the battlefield.
Not so if recent history is a good teacher.
According to Reuters the recidivism rate of former Gitmo detainees is 27.9% citing a summary report from the Office of the Director of Natl Intelligence which said it confirmed or suspected that nearly a third of the terrorists returned to the battlefield

(Politico/SenTedCruz) The Constitution designs a system of checks and balances for our nation and executive amnesty for immigrants here illegally unilaterally decreed from the White Hose would seriously undermine the rule of law.
Our founders repeatedly warned about the dangers of unlimited power within the executive branch; Congress should heed those words as the president threatens to grant amnesty to millions of people that have come to our country illegally.
To be clear, the dispute over executive amnesty is not between President Obama and Republicans on Congress, it is a dispute between President Obama and the American people. The Democrats suffered historic losses in the midterm elections largely over the prospect of the president’s executive amnesty.
President Obama was correct: His policies were on the ballot across the nation in 2014 the elections were a referendum on amnesty and the voters soundly rejected it. There was no ambiguity.
Undeterred, President Obama appears to be going forward. It is lawless. It is unconstitutional. He is defiant and angry at the American people. If he acts by executive diktat, President Obama will not be acting as a president, he will be acting as a monarch.
Thankfully, the framers of the Constitution, wary of the dangers of monarchy, gave the Congress tools to reign in abuses of power. They believed that if a president wants to change the law he cannot act alone…

(The Daily Signal) In an attempt to distance himself from Jonathan Gruber, President Obama has been attempting to downplay the ObamaCare ‘Stupid Americans’ Architect Gruber’s role in crafting his signature legislative achievement.
During a presser at the G-20 Summit in Brisbane, Australia Obama claimed that Gruber was just “some adviser that never worked on our staff.”
Over the past week however 6 videos have surfaced of Gruber one of the key ObamaCare architects, discussing how Senate Democrats and the Obama Administration “tortured” the language of the ACA to secure its passage.
For someone that ‘never worked on our staff’ Gruber in-fact visited the White House more than a dozen times according to visitor logs and at least one of those meetings occurred in the Oval Office.
Additionally about Gruber being just “some adviser” was paid according to contracts with HHS some $400,000 of taxpayers money.
