Let’s All Rejoice: We’re Justified by His Grace Through the Redemption

The righteousness of God has been disclosed and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.

For there is no distinction since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

They are now justified by His grace as a gift through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by His blood effective through faith — He did this to show His righteousness because in His divine forbearance He had passed over the sins previously committed. It was to prove at the present time that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies the one who has faith in Jesus. —Romans 3:21-26

Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.” —John 14:6

I’m Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Brothers and Sisters: I’m not ashamed of the Gospel. It is the power of God for the Salvation of everyone who has faith…For in in the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The One who is righteous by faith will live by faith.’

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of those who by their wickedness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world His eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things He has made. So they are without excuse for though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and they exchanged the Glory of the Immortal God for images resembling a mortal human being or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves because they exchanged the Truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:16-25

‘Faith Without Works is Dead’ –Image: St. Paul Street Evangelization

What good is it my Brothers and Sisters if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you? If a Brother or Sister is naked and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, keep warm and eat your fill’ and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what good is that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

Someone will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one, you do well. Even the Demons believe and shudder.

Do you you want to be shown, you senseless person, that faith apart from works is barren? Was not our ancestor Abraham justified by works when he offered his son Issac on the altar? You see, faith was active along with his works and faith was brought to completion by the works–Thus the scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,’ (See: Romans 4:3 and Galatians 3:6) — he was called the Friend of God.

You see, that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. Likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another road? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead. —James 2:14-26
