Jesus Proclaims the GospelsJesus Proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom, Curing Every Disease and Sickness Among the People –Matthew 4:23 -Images: Sr. Veronica Paul

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The Kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His anointed saying: ‘Let us burst their bonds asunder and cast their cords from us.’

He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord has them in derision. Then He will speak to them in His wrath and terrify them in His fury saying, “I have set my King on Zion, My holy hill.”

I will tell of the decree of the Lord, He said to Me, “You are my son, today I have begotten you. Ask of Me and I will make the nations your heritage and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potters vessel.”

Now therefore O Kings be wise, be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, with trembling, kiss His feet or He will be angry and you will perish in the way for His wrath is quickly kindled.

Happy are all who take refuge in Him. –Psalm 2

Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness the peoples but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear over you. Nations shall come to your light and the Kings to the brightness of your dawn.

Lift up your eyes and look around, they all gather together, they come to you, your sons shall come from far away and your daughters shall be carried on their nurses arms.

Then you shall see and be radiant, your heart shall thrill and rejoice because the abundance of the sea shall be brought to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.

A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah, all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense and shall proclaim the praise of the Lord. –Isaiah 60:1-6

In the time of King Herod after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, Wise Men from the east came to Jerusalem asking, “Where is the Child who has been born King of the Jews? For we observed His star at its rising and have come to pay Him homage.”

When King Herod heard this he was frightened and all Jerusalem with him and calling together all of the Chief Priests and Scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born? They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea for so it has been written by the Prophet:

‘And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah and by no means least among the rulers of Judah for from you shall come a Ruler who is to Shepherd my people Israel.”

Then Herod secretly called for the Wise Men and learned from them the exact time when the Star had appeared. Then he sent them to Bethlehem saying, “Go and search diligently for the Child and when you have found Him bring me word so that I may also go and pay homage.” When they had heard the King, they set out and there ahead of them went the Star that they had seen as its rising until it stopped over the place where the Child was. When they saw that the Star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. On entering the house they saw the Child with Mary His Mother and they knelt down and paid Him homage. Then opening their treasure chests, they offered Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh and having been warned in a dream, not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another road. –Matthew 2:1-12

(SQPN) Born in France Nantterre (near Paris) when Genevieve was just seven yrs old she met St. Germain (Feast Day: 31 July) Bishop of France Auxerre on his way to England. — Germain befriended Genevieve because of her insistence of wanting to live her life for God, prophesing her future sanctity.

At about the age of 15 according to EWTN Genevieve was presented to the Bishop of Paris to receive the religious veil at his hand, together with two others. Though Genevieve was the youngest of the three, the Bishop placed her first saying that Heaven had already sanctified her by which he seems to have alluded to the promise that she already made in the presence of Bishop Germain, of consecrating herself to God.

Sister Genvieve was blessed to receive the gift of prophecy from God and foretold invasions and disasters of Paris, she had the ability to read the burdens of peoples hearts and was able to calm the possessed.

When Paris was besieged by the Franks, she encouraged its defense,. During its long blockade and distress of the city by famine according to EWTN Sister Genevieve went out as the the head a company to procure provisions and brought back several boats filled with corn, she would organize prayers to God to the protection of the city.

On Christmas Day 496 King Clovis embraced Christianity and was Baptized, he would subsequently receive Genevieve, listened to her advice and counsel, later he would grant liberty to several captives at Sister Genevieve request.

Behold I Stand at the Door...In times past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets, in these last days, He has spoken to us through His Son. –Hebrews 1:1-2

Who is a liar? The one who denies that Jesus is the Christ. This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; Everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father and this is what He has promised us, eternal life.

I write these things to you concerning those who would deceive you. As for you, the anointing that you received from Him abides in you and so you do not need anyone to teach you but as His anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie and just as it has taught you abide in Him.

And now little remain in Him so that when He is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before Him at His coming. –1 John 2:22-28
