A Lamp Under a Jar
“No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar or puts it under a bed but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light. Then pay attention to how you listen, for to those who have, more will be given and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away.” –Luke 8:16-18
Jesus the Light of the World
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
Then the Pharisees said to Him: ‘You are testifying on your own behalf, your testimony is not valid.’
Jesus answered: “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid because I know where I have come from and going. You judge by human standards; I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is valid, for it is not I alone who judge but I and the Father who sent me. In your law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is valid. I testify on my own behalf and the Father who sent me testifies on my behalf.”
Then they (Pharisees) said to Him: ‘Where is your Father?’
Jesus answered: “You know neither Me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” Jesus spoke these words while He was teaching in the treasury of the Temple but no one arrested Him because His hour had not yet come.
Jesus Foretells His Death
Jesus again said to them: “I am going away and you will search for me but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”
Then the Jews said, ‘Is he going to kill himself? Is that what he means by saying, “Where I am going you can not come.”‘
Jesus said to them, ” You are from below, I am from above, you are of this world, I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am He.”
They said to Jesus, ‘Who are you?’
Jesus said to them, “Why do you speak at all? I have much to say and you and much to condemn but the One who sent me is true and I declare to the world what I have heard from Him.”
They did not understand that He was speaking to them about the Father. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I am He and that I do nothing on My own but I speak these things as the Father instructed Me and the One who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to Him.” As He was saying these things, many (came to) believe in Him. –John 8:12-30

(HRIC) Throughout the mass crackdown on Human Rights lawyers and defenders, China regime authorities have abused the legal process and have viciously attacked individuals and professional organizations, yet courageous individuals are continuing to speak out and countering the onslaught of official propaganda.
On the 02 January I wrote here about 23 Journalists and 84 Netizens/Bloggers arrested or imprisoned in China — On the 24 September, I wrote here about China regime crackdown on lawyers and human rights defenders.
Radio Free Asia reported on Friday, the relatives and defense lawyers of 19 Human Rights lawyers currently facing subversion charges have written to Beijing calling for an independent inquiry into breaches of legal process in handling their cases.
“The relevant authorities have brought charges such as ‘incitement to subvert state power’ against them in situations where there has been no breach of the law,” the letter signed by more than 140 lawyers and relatives.
China regime has prevented them from seeing their lawyers and family members the letter stated.
On Monday, South China Morning Post reported that the China regime hit back at the United States on human rights, making frivolous claims that Washington has done everything from promoting ISIS to being a racist plutocracy.
Jerome A. Cohen, Professor of Law at New York University School of Law, on the 08 February, published comments from China Human Rights Attorney Chen Yu-Jie following her experience with China authorities rejection of her lawyer-client conference in recent cases related to the oppression of lawyers and other human rights advocates.

(Daily Caller) At a CNN Democrat Townhall Event in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend, Hillary Clinton told the crowd that her energy policies are “gonna put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”
Hillary Clinton went on to say how the government (taxpayers) have to invest in “clean, renewable energy. We’re gonna make it clear that we don’t want those people–those people labored in mines for generations, losing their health, often losing their lives to turn on our lights and power our factories. Now we’ve got to move away from coal and all other fossil fuels but I don’t want to move away from the people who did the best they could to produce the energy we relied on.”
Huh??? That’s talking from both sides of her mouth.
When did it become the American Taxpayers business to pick winners and losers and choose which industries to “invest in” (favor with taxpayers money) and which to bankrupt?
EPA Wastes $295,507 To Track Energy and Water Usage of Commercial Office Workers

(WFB) EPA has authorized a contract of $295,507 to develop technology to track energy and water usage of office workers.
Lucid Design Group a Oakland, CA software company was awarded the technology contract the EPA said in a press release on Thursday saying, “Lucid is focused on reducing energy consumption in commercial buildings by influencing peoples behavior–The technology seeks to reduce peak electricity demand and associated utility bill costs through ambient color-based visual messaging, balancing energy usage and occupant comfort.”
“Funded through EPA’s ‘Small Business Innovation Research Program’ the contracts provide companies up to $300,000 (of taxpayers money, I digress) to further develop and commercialize their products and ideas,” the agency said.
In November, the Washington Free Beacon reported that the EPA announced grants for $1.75 million, through its Healthy Communities Grant Program, to curb ‘climate change’ by teaching adults how to write a grocery list.
Flashback: Remember in December 2013 when Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said, “The cupboard is bare,” speaking of cuts in the federal budget, “there is no more cuts to make. I think its really important that people understand that.”

Brothers and Sisters: Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having righteousness of my own that comes from the Law (Torah) but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith. I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the sharing of His sufferings by becoming like Him in His death, if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Pressing Toward the Goal
Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal but I press on to make it my own because Christ Jesus has made me His own. Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it on my own but this one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind and if you think differently about anything, this too God will reveal to you. Only let us hold fast to what we have attained.
Brothers and Sisters, join in imitating me and observe those who live according to the example you have in us. For many live as enemies of the Cross of Christ; I have often told you of them and now I tell you even with tears.
