(NY Daily News) Taliban Jihadists staged a suicide car bombing and then engaged in a gun fight with security forces outside the American Consulate in the western Afghan City of Herat early Friday.
Qari Yousef Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility on behalf of the Islamic Jihadist organization and is reported to have said according to Australian Broadcasting Corp in a statement emailed to reporters, “Our aim for this attack is to show the Americans that they are not safe anywhere in this country.”
The Obama Administration has yet to say if this assault on the U.S. Consulate in Afghanistan was another spontaneous attack as result of a second YouTube video or not?
On the 7 August, 2011 I wrote here that subsequent to the death of Osama bin-Laden, President Obama told the nation that he is willing to negotiate a peace treaty with the Taliban the same group in Afghanistan responsible for shooting down a Chinook helicopter which claimed the lives of 31 American Special Forces soldiers in early August, 2011 and that harbored Al-Qaeda terrorist thugs in the years leading up to 9/11

(FOX News) CVS Customers will now be required to show Govt issued photo identification whenever they purchase their nail polish remover.
According to CVS’s logic, this new rule is an attempt on their part to curb the making of methamphetamine.
Hmm? So CVS Pharmacy must believe that most of their customers that buy nail polish remover (undoubtedly mainly Women) are mainly purchasing the product from them to manufacture illegal drugs?
Who was the marketing genius that came up with this brilliant ridiculous business decision?
When will CVS Pharmacies be requiring that one produce govt issued photo identification to purchase all them other products that contain acetone such as: Anti-fungal preparations; external analgesics; furniture polish, hair tonics; household laundry presoaks; insecticides; lubricating oils, oven cleaners and so many other acetone based products?
While it may be an effective policy change if 100% of all nail polish remover purchased in the nation was sold at CVS Pharmacies (believe you me, it isn’t) I’m thinking that narcotic traffickers will simply purchase their nail polish remover elsewhere.

(LA Times) Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro made a rambling statement today during his sentencing hearing having plead guilty to more than 900 charges ranging from aggravated murder, kidnapping and rape of three young Women for more than a decade held in captivity.
Castro insisted, “I’m not a monster, I’m sick,” and claiming that he and the three young Women that he brutalized led a happy life, “We had a lot of harmony that went on in that home.”
Pursuant to the terms of the plea agreement that Castro and his Attys made with Prosecutors, Judge Michael Russo, sentenced Castro today to life in prison without any possibility of parole.

A pallet by the meat department at Ralphs in Chatsworths stacked with the tasty sponge cake filled delights became a popular attraction. “People are very excited and happy, we have them and ‘Ding Dongs’ in the variety pack. They are coming back as strong as ever,” said a store manager who asked not to be identified.

(AP) The Obama Administration’s third scandal in a week erupted today with reports that the Dept of Justice (DoJ) secretly seized two months of telephone records of Editors & Reporters of the Associated Press in what the news cooperatives top Executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather news.
The records stolen by the DoJ listed outgoing calls for the work and personal phone numbers of individual Reporters, for General AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, CT, together with the main number for the AP in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to Attorneys for the AP–It is not clear if the stolen records also included incoming calls or the duration of calls.
In all, the government illegally seized records for more than 20 separate phone lines assigned to the AP and its Journalists in April and May 2012 the exact number of Journalists who used the phone lines during the period is unknown but more than 100 Journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.
