(Breitbart) On Wednesday, Sen Tom Coburn (R-OK) penned a letter to Secy of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, pointing out waste and abuse of taxpayers money within his department that could be eliminated in order to pay for ‘Women, Infants & Children (WIC) assistance that the Agriculture Dept slashed for 600,000 recipients.
Coburn pointed out that despite sequestration , USDA representatives held ‘a workshop on the agency’s economic development and affordable housing programs’ for residents of Martha’s Vineyard–Clearly ‘affordable housing’ is not the key issue in an area where the least expensive home (2 bedroom condo) is listed at $260,000
In fact Coburn pointed out that all of Martha’s Vinyard (where the Democrat elitist’s spend their Summer’s) has been designated a rural area, eligible for USDA taxpayer-backed home loans.

(Cal Watchdog) According to the Franchise Tax Board, the highest 1% of income earners will pay more than $2 Billion less in taxes in 2013 than last year.
That’s not surprising, a recent survey found that 75% of affluent California residents are planning actions to reduce their tax liabilities and the other 25% are considering exiting California all together.
On the 14 May, 2012 I wrote here that California’s out of control budget crisis is a result of overly burdensome regulations, ever increasing taxes and out of control spending–the present economic catastrophe unfortunately was all too predictable and the only solution remains is a robust supply-side economic plan that will create incentives for real economic expansion, resulting in an increasing tax base and new revenue streams.
The news of falling tax revenues once again proves this correct.
(Natl Review) President Obama made something of an admission with a small group of Republican Senator’s in March about the size of Medicare and the federal budget deficit.
“The problem you have reforming Medicare is that for every dollar Americans pay into the system they’re going to get three dollars in benefits. Americans don’t understand that.”
Three months later, Sen Ron Johnson (R-WI) and his fellow Senate Republicans attempting to work with top Obama Administration officials, define how big (out of control) the federal entitlement program actually is–their proposal is to agree on the size of the problem before tackling reforms to solve it.
Obama Administration officials came into the meeting reiterating President Obama’s position that $4 Trillion in deficit reduction would basically solve the problem for now but according to GOP 30 year deficit projections prepared by Johnson and obtained by The National Review the true size of the problem is staggering and surprised even the most seasoned budget negotiator.
Obama’s rhetoric of $4 Trillion in deficit reduction doesn’t touch the real problems we face–try $106 Trillion the medium estimate, even the lowest conservative estimate is $72 Trillion, the highest $120 Trillion.
How much worse will ObamaCare balloon the deficit, making matters much worse?

The 2nd Qtr UCLA Anderson Forecast says the growth of real GDP meaning the inflation adjusted value of goods and services produced–falls short of the rates required for the national economy to truly recover from the most recent recession.

How many weeks of White House tours would that $150 Million have paid for, after them so called apocalyptic sequester spending cuts went into effect that Obama claimed would slowly cripple federal agencies and result in mass employment casualties?

Sounds like a really vital necessity to be researching, given our nations $16,841,535+ Trillion out of control federal budget deficit.

Discussing a bill to continue the federal government’s sales from the Natl Helium Reserve Johnson said, “…Imagine Mr Speaker, a world without balloons.”
Today, according to The Wall Street Journal the House of Representatives on a vote of 394-1 passed legislation to stop the closure of the Texas based Federal Helium Reserve which contains a 1/3 of the worlds helium supply.
The Federal Helium Reserve was created after World War 1 when we imagined a world where blimps would be the future of air travel and vital to our national security.
Its good that Congress before their recess next week took care of this impending crisis, what would happen to our nation without federal supplies of helium to fill all of those blimps that our nations commerce and commercial passenger aviation relies.
