Website Censorship Bill Unanimously Passes Senate Committee

Friday, November 19th, 2010

At one time the 1st Amendment and  a U.S. Senator’s Oaths to Defend the Constitution of the United States actually meant something other than merely a recitation of words, unfortunately Democrat-Socialists that are in charge of the U.S. Senate, first allegiance is no longer to the Bill of Rights and our Founding Documents.

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed a bill that would give the Attorney General new authority to shut down suspected websites that “may” have participated digital piracy and other “infringing activities” without due process–whether or not any criminal activity has even occurred.

National Public Radio Disgraceful Firing of Juan Williams

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

National Public Radio (NPR) termination of Juan Williams subsequent to his Monday evening appearance on The O’Reilly Factor FOX News is nothing short of disgraceful, shameless and reprehensible.

NPR claims, “A functioning democracy depends on a free press…an informed citizenry.”

Riiight—just as long NPR contributors say what is politically correct.

“National Public Radio is a public institution that directly or indirectly exists because the taxpayers fund it and what do we get for this,” writes Sarah Palin “we get to witness Juan Williams being fired from NPR for merely speaking frankly about the very real threat this country faces from radical Islam.”

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) in Fiscal Year 2008 received $393 Million Dollars in public money, during Fiscal Year 2009 NPR seen an increase in their appropriations, receiving $400 Million Dollars on the public trough. In Fiscal Year 2010 which ended on 30 September, CPB received $420 Million courtesy of the taxpayers and during the new Fiscal Year which began on 01 October, Congress appropriated $430 Million Dollars for CPB

While I have my share of disagreements with Juan Williams politically,  for NPR, a quasi federally funded news agency to censor the free speech rights of one of their contributors is sacrilegious and outrageous, to a nation founded on principles of unalienable rights, independence and liberty.

Obama’s Hush-Hush Policy Summit With Bloggers & Journalists

Friday, October 15th, 2010

In what was supposed to be an “Off the Record” policy briefing between President Obama and Senior members of his administration with African American Bloggers and Journalists on Monday, didn’t stop a Blogger from writing about the event and posting a group photo of the participants.

The Obama Administration provided the Bloggers and Journalists with the ground rules: The first half of their briefing was to be on background the second half of their meeting was to be off the record entirely.

So much for that here is one post of the meeting courtesy of White House.org on Blogger

Obama Administration Drafting New Regs To Go Peeping Online

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Cronies in the Obama Administration, that used to lose sleep over the alleged civil rights violations of Islamic Jihad Terrorists held at Gitmo, now want to make it easier for Fed Super Snoopers to go peeping into suspected terrorists and alleged criminals private Internet, e-mail communications and social networking sites such as Facebook.

Who is a Criminal or Terrorist threat, Conservatives?

Just last year, the Obama Administration classified their political foes as the Bogeyman, dangerous right-wing extremists.

Chicago Law Professor To Obama: $250,000 Is Not Super Rich

Friday, September 24th, 2010

“The rhetoric in Washington about taxes is about millionaires and the super rich but the relevant dividing line between millionaires  and the middle class is pegged at family incomes of $250,000…that makes me super rich and subject to a big tax hike if the President has his way” wrote University of Chicago Law Professor Todd Henderson before his post was taken down but lives on in cached form.

Law Professor Todd Henderson acknowledged that he along with his spouse a physician earn more than $250,000 making them eligible for President Obama’s proposed tax hike but he sees a problem. “A quick look at our family budget, which I will happily share with the White House, will show him that like many Americans we are just getting by despite seeming to be rich,” said Henderson, “we aren’t.”

Henderson’s blog post prompted a flurry of responses in the blogosphere, not all of them sympathetic…and a revelation of threatening emails he has since received. The firestorm later spurred Henderson to “hang up my blogging hat” he later revealed at Truth on the Market writing, “…I was a fool and I didn’t anticipate how this kind of thing could happen.”
