(Reuters) China regime warned Hong Kong on Tuesday, that there are limits to its autonomy and it should adhere strictly to the rules established by totalitarian Marxist Beijing for the maintenance of ‘good’  public order.

On the 04 June, Chinese Human Rights activist Chen Guangcheng speaking exclusively to France 24 News said the China regime fears a new ‘Tiananmen’ style movement adding that, democracy is inevitable in China, warning that if the regime continues to use violence, it could provoke a violent and bloody revolution.

FEC Chairman Warns Conservative Media Such as ‘Drudge Report & Sean Hannity’ Faces Govt Regs

First AmendmentFirst Amendment Subject to Govt Oversight & Regulations???

(Washington Examiner) Federal bureaucrats reacting to the growing voice of Conservative news especially online are angling to curtail the media’s exemption from federal election laws governing political organizations–a potentially chilling intervention that the Chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) Chairman Lee E. Goodman is vowing to fight.

“I think there are impulses in the government every day to second guess and look into the editorial decisions of Conservative publishers–The right has begun to break the Left’s media monopoly particularly through new media outlets like the Internet and I sense that some on the Left are starting to rethink the breadth  of the media’s exemption and Internet communications.”

Goodman cited several examples where the FEC has considered regulating Conservative media such as Drudge Report, Sean Hannity and Citizens United Film Division. Liberals over the years have been pushing for a change in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ‘fairness doctrine’ to choke-off Conservative voices.

“The picking and choosing has started to occur…There are some in this (FEC) building that think we can actually regulate (silence) media,” added Goodman.

In February I wrote here the out of control FCC proposed putting ‘government monitors’ in newsrooms to inspect issues such as the amount of time spent on news which they determine to be of ‘critical importance’ and would permit government agents to look over the shoulders of reporters, editors and station owners, about how they decide which stories to run.

Facebook Behaving Much Like the China Regime Internet Police

FacebookFacebook Censors Blocks Me From Sharing Content and Removes
‘Natl Catholic Register’ Post From News Feed

One could say that I’m in pretty good company.

Earlier this week FOX News Todd Starnes reported that content that he posted on Facebook, was removed and he was temporarily blocked from sharing content until they “had a change of heart.”

It wasn’t all that many months ago the ‘Facebook Police’ threatened to shut-down Conservative Chicks on the Right for what censors claimed were posts critical of the Obama administration–heaven forbid that a politician is criticized.

Its really not clear what the ‘Facebook Police” found to be so offensive, vulgar, violent or so politically incorrect about the content that I wished to share from the Natl Catholic Register–Pittsburgh Bishop Zubik Rejects Common Core which they also removed from the news feed, unless now the Catholic Church is subject to the same scrutiny that many Conservatives are?

In January 2009 I wrote here that the China regime was cracking down on major websites and search engines such as Google and Baidu, claiming that its because they spread pornography and other objectionable material (such as articles about the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre–I digress) that may corrupt young peoples minds.

Free speech in China (as well as on Facebook here in the United States) is essential in the pursuit of learning, every idea or thought is not an avenue of incitement, censorship only results in finding cracks in the Great Firewall of China.

Facebook censors working overtime to protect any criticism of the Obama administration and its policies, may want to note that behaving much like the China Regime Internet Police is really rather embarrassing.

(Natl Journal)   An Obama Administration plan to give up control of the Internet to globalists, may open the door to a takeover by an authoritarian regime, Republican lawmakers said today.

If Russia or the China regime would gain new influence over the management created here in the United States, they could begin censoring content or blocking websites that they determine to be objectionable.

“Make no mistake, threats to openness and freedom of the Internet are real,” said Rep Greg Walden (R-OR) Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, which held a hearing on the issue today. “Leaders such as Vladimir Putin, have explicitly announced their desire to gain control of the Internet.”

Walden and other Republican lawmakers are pushing a bill that would block the transfer of authority until the Govt Accountability Office can study the issue. Dozens of Senators led by John Thune (R-SD) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent a letter to the Obama Administration today, demanding more answers about their plan.

(FOX News) Politicians have always loved to see their names in the newspaper but at Cal Poly, candidates for student government face fines of $100 for just speaking with reporters.

J.J. Jenkins, Editor-in-Chief of the Mustang News the school’s student newspaper told FOX News.com that two of four candidates for student body president have been fined $100 after they or their campaign staff spoke to the student run newspaper–the students were notified they violated the ‘Associated Students, Inc (ASI) election code at the public university which bans active campaigning including “non-verbal public display” until 10 days before the 23 April election.

Former “Center for American Progress” Blogger Zaid Jilani, Describes Obama Admin Censorship

Obama & The ConstitutionObama -v- The Constitution –Petefrt@Twitter

(Daily Caller) Zaid Jilani, former Blogger for the George Soros funded far left Liberal 501(c)(4) propaganda arm of the Obama Administration, Center for American Progress explained this week how the White House tries to censor the progressive organizations content when it departs from Obamaq’s agenda.

Jilani reacting to an on-air protest by Journalist Liz Wahl who resigned Wednesday, in protest over Russia’s invasion of Southern Ukraine–the second American reporter to publicly condemn the Russian government’s actions on its own channel.

Wahl who worked in the media outlets Washington, D.C. bureau said that she could no longer be a “part of the network, funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin. I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth and that is why after this newscast, I’m resigning.”

In a post entitled “How Working in Washington Taught Me We’re All a Little Like RT America” Jilani explained how the Obama Administration frequently played the part of the Kremlin, leaning on management to push their writers in a particular direction and punishing them if they strayed from the party line.

“I’m writing this post to explain how working in Washington taught me we’re all a little bit like the the good folk who work at RT America struggling against editorial censors, doing our best to follow our conscience despite sometimes suffocating from our publishers and sponsors…Essentially they were doing the same thing to us (that) RT America is telling its American producers to do now—align with your boss, who is the president of the United States.”

Jilani, is now a Syracuse University grad student, who loves cats, the South and cheesecake and may be followed Zaid Jilani@Twitter and his blog Expanded Thoughts@Tumblr.com

China Regime Blames Internet Freedom for Terrorism

(Epoch Times) China regime official Zhang Chunxian in charge of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region blamed Internet freedom for causing terrorist attacks in a report given to the National People’s Congress on Thursday in Beijing, arguing that:

“Ninety percent of the violent terrorist attacks by Xinjiang (Separatists) are due to circumvention technologies for breaking the firewall…They use videos on the Internet to continue organizing attacks.”

Many Chinese resort to circumventing firewall using technologies such as “Freegate” because the China Regime strictly controls the Internet and blocks social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

On the 16 July, 2012 I wrote here that the ‘Sina-Weibo’ account of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai disappeared, American diplomats naively were scratching their heads trying to figure out what had happened. Subsequently, on the 18 August, 2011 I wrote here that the China Regime attempted to scrub from the Internet blog posts reporting on the mass demonstrations that were happening in Dalian, Liaoning Province.

Free speech is essential in the pursuit of learning, every idea or thought is not an avenue of incitement, censorship only results in the pursuit of finding cracks in the Great Firewall of China.

1984 Is Here! Obama Administration is Seeking Access to ‘Full Twitter Historical Data’

Thursday, February 20th, 2014

Govt Monitors

(Washington Free Beacon) The Obama Administration by and through HHS (which by the way has been responsible for the ObamaCare roll-out disaster) now is seeking a ‘social media analytical tool’ that will give the government access to ‘full Twitter historical data’ according to a Fed Biz Opps.gov solicitation posted this week.

Yesterday I wrote here that the Obama Administration now wants to put government agents into newsrooms to pressure media organizations into covering certain stories which it deems to be suitable for dissemination and demand reporters, editors and station owners justify the stories which they run.

First the NSA began spying on every American, then the government went after FOX News and James Rosen next the Obama Administration went after the Little Sisters of the Poor after seizing control of health care, then the IRS went after ‘Tea Party’ groups that objected to government policy.

When they come for you will anyone be left to speak up for you?

  • Where does this government intrusion into peoples lives end?
  • When were the First and Fourth Amendments to the Constitution repealed?
  • Will Congress stop the lawless Obama Administration or just make more speeches (some excuses) about the chilling erosion of our civil liberties in an effort to raise money for the next election?

So Long Free Speech It Was Good Knowing You

Wednesday, February 19th, 2014

FreeSpeech(Mediate) FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai in an editorial in the Wall Street Journal issued a warning to Americans that the agency will be putting ‘government monitors’ in newsrooms to inspect issues such as the amount of time is spent on the “critical information needs of the American public with special emphasis on vulnerable/disadvantaged populations.”

The Obama Administration has no place attempting to “pressuring media organizations into covering certain stories,” writes Pai of the 2013 proposal that would permit government agents to “grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run.”

What a chilling erosion of our sacred 1st Amendment liberties which specifically protects free speech from government interference.
