Is Obama Illegally Spying on Congress Too?

Sunday, June 9th, 2013

Obama Verizon

(Chicago Sun Times) In the wake of revelations that the Feds have been secretly conducted surveillance on millions of Americans, the Associated Press and FOX News James Rosen, targeted Conservative & Jewish organizations, have been stonewalling Congress on “Fast & Furious” and Benghazi, together with HHS Secy Kathleeen Sebelius shaking down companies that she regulates to “donate” money for ObamaCare, a new scandal is emerging that the Obama Administration may be spying on Congress too?

On Thursday, Sen Mark Kirk (R-IL) asked embattled Atty General Eric Holder, if the National Security Agency monitored calls placed from Capitol hill? Holder claimed there was no intention to “spy” on Congress and said that he would not be able to go into details on the calls in a public setting.

Kirk continued to quiz Holder about the government snooping saying, “Mr Attorney General, I want to take you to the Verizon scandal and–which I understand takes us to possible monitoring up to 120 million calls. You know, when government bureaucrats are sloppy, they’re usually really sloppy. Want to just ask, could you assure to us, that no phone inside the Capitol were monitored of Members of Congress that would give a future Executive branch, if they started pulling this kind of thing off, would give them unique leverage over the legislature?”

Holder replied, “With all due respect Senator, I don’t think this is an appropriate setting for me to discuss that issue. I’d be more than glad to come back in a—in an appropriate setting to discuss the issues that you have raised.”

So the answer is quite simply yes otherwise why couldn’t Holder just deny that the Obama Administration is not monitoring Members of Congress phone calls too?

Does Obama, et. al believe that Members of Congress are committing espionage and they too must be targeted in their dragnet?

Obama: If People Can’t Trust the Government, Then We’re Going to Have Some Problems Here

Obama Government Is The Answer

(Breitbart) Obama speaking yesterday in San Jose, took one question from the press on the federal government’s invasion of privacy and the NSA surveillance of Americans.

Without any sense of irony whatsoever in the aftermath of scandals involving the IRS targeting of Conservative & Jewish groups together with the Obama Administration stonewalling on Benghazi, the Dept of Justice targeting of AP & FOX News James Rosen and HHS Secy Kathleen Sebelius  shaking down companies that she regulates, to “donate money” for ObamaCare P.R. campaign, Obama said:

“If people can’t trust not only the Executive branch but also don’t trust Congress and don’t trust Federal Judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here.”

Now its our fault.

Top Democrat Strategist: Progressives & Liberals Must Stand-Up Against Obama

(FOX News) The NY Times editorial board which has generally given President Obama a pass throughout his career, wrote a scathing denunciation today of the Obama Administration’s use of data mining claiming “the administration has lost all credibility” on the issue of balancing civil rights with national security–adding, every Progressive with even a shred of moral consistency should side with The New York Times against the White House.

The events of the past month–from the Associated Press subpoena to the FOX News James Rosen search warrant, to the revelation that our government has been indiscriminately collecting phone records data–have forced liberals to make a choice between complacency and outrage, between keeping silent because on of our own is in the White House and calling him out on betraying the principles for which we have fought so long.

As Progressives, we cannot remain silent when a president, whom we worked so hard to elect and defend at every turn, betrays the very values upon which he ran five years ago.

Can Progressives & Democrat-Socialists since they’ve come this far, bring themselves to utter the words “Impeachment” and demand that Obama be removed from office by the Senate if he doesn’t do the just and honorable thing, resign from office, which even Richard Nixon had the decency to do?

Stung by Verizon revelations, a number of lawmakers came forward Thursday to say they never intended the laws they wrote following the 9/11 attacks to be used to go after records so broadly as the Obama Administration admits doing and defended today.

Strong Arm Federal Government --Asian Conservatives

(WND) According to a pair of recent polls, for the first time since 9/11, Americans are more fearful their government will abuse constitutional liberties than fail to keep Americans safe.

Even in the wake of the Boston Marathon Jihad Bombings in which a pair of Islamic radicals are accused of planting explosive devices which claimed the lives of three and wounded 180 people–the polls suggest Americans are hesitant to give up any further freedoms in exchange for promises of security.

In a FOX News national survey of 619 registered voters the day after the Boston Jihad Bombings, despite the tragic event, those interviewed responded very differently than following 9/11

For the first time since a similar question was asked in May, 2001 more Americans answered “No” to the question: “Would you be willing to give up some of your personal freedom on order to reduce the threat of terrorism?”

Of those surveyed on the 16 April, 2013 45% answered “No” to the question compared to 43% answering “Yes” –following the 9/11 Islamic Jihad Terrorist attacks, the numbers flipped dramatically to 71% agreeing to sacrifice personal freedom to reduce the threat of terrorism.

The FOX News survey  was unique as it also broke the respondents down by political affiliation:

  • 51% of Democrats responded that they would be willing to sacrifice personal freedoms in exchange for temporary security compared to 43% of respondents calling themselves Republicans;
  • Independents were the most resistant with only 29% willing to sacrifice individual liberties.

America’s Nanny State Mayor Bloomberg: There’s Times We Should Infringe On Your Freedom

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Michael Bloomberg

(Barracuda Brigade) When visiting NYC, be sure to know that one will need to check your civil liberties at the door–at least as long as America’s Nanny State Mayor Michael Bloomberg is in charge.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday speaking about his failed soda ban Bloomberg said, ‘I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom…I have a responsibility–to try to make this country safer.’

When asked if he’d be spending big time in next years mid-term elections to target the NRA and Members of Congress for opposing restrictions on Americans rights to keep and bear arms for self-defense, Bloomberg claimed “…I think I have an obligation to that that.”

Last week, FOX News reported that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) dropped a proposed assault weapons ban amid waning Congressional support for the measure.

Bloomberg launched an advertising campaign which begins airing today in a dozen states, targeting Senator’s that may be willing to vote to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizens.

NJ Family Home Raided By Police Because Boy Holds Gun

(FOX News)  Carney’s Point, NJ Police together with Dept of Children and Family Services raided the home of firearms instructor Shawn Moore and demanded to see the weapons in his home after he posted a picture of his soon to be 11 year old son Josh, holding a toy rifle.

According to Moore who wrote at Delaware Open Carry last Saturday night, he received a text from his wife that Police and DYFS were at the house and they wanted to check-out his gun and needed him to open up his safe…because Dept of Children and Family Services received an anonymous call of a picture of his son holding a gun–Police (without a search warrant) demanded that he open his locked safe and accused him of acting suspiciously and “unreasonable” because he refused to comply with their demands–after they threatened to take his children away, claimed they would be getting a search warrant,  intimidating him and his family, the Police left empty handed seeing nothing.
