While China State Council claims they will not be forcibly evict farmers from their property (for now) citing its new found priority of respect in protecting rural residents, unfortunately this same respect is lost  at a moments notice and may change by this time tomorrow?

In March China was forcibly removing farmers from their homes so that authorities could seize land from underneath their houses for development.

Earlier today, I wrote here China Yunnan Province Villagers Clash with Police Over Yantze River Dam Project and Beijing’s well established policy of land confiscation.

China Migrant School Children Education in Midst of Hardship

Monday, March 28th, 2011

Typical Chinese Migrant School

Several little boys were lining up in front of the tap in the corner of a school playground in suburban Beijing waiting to clean their lunch boxes–in another classroom another boy about 6 or 7 years old was putting away his clean lunch box into a plastic bag and then in his school bag.

Washrooms are open with no private cubicles–no water was connected and the stench was strong. Zhenging School has no flush toilets, the playground is hazardous for children playing.

China Human Rights Activists Protesting Persecution of Political Prisoners

More than two days after Chinese authorities forced open the door to his Beijing home and dragged him away, Human Rights Atty Tang Jitian remains missing.

While Chinese officials have stated that he is in Police Custody, they have failed to produce any legal documentation notifying his family of his whereabouts.

Tang’s disappearance is the latest in a growing list of human rights abuses in China.

On the 06 November, 2009 I wrote here that Chinese Human Rights activist Yang Zili, may be jailed for “subverting state authority” by writing a letter to Barack Obama
