RINO Speaker Boehner Goes Off on Conservatives Over Republican Cave-In of 2 Year Budget Deal

Wednesday, December 11th, 2013

Boehner

(Business Insider) RINO House Speaker John Boehner, snapped at Conservatives that have come out in opposition to the so called two year budget deal announced last evening, that sets discretionary federal spending above $1 Trillion for the period, while repealing sequestration which barely cut 2.4% of federal spending essentially blowing up any real Republican spending restraint as the CATO Institute points out, in return for more revenue increases–tax hikes and budget quackery.

(89.3 KPCC) 7 California Democrats ran-away from ObamaCare and voted with House Republicans on Friday that would allow Americans to keep for one year their health insurance plans that do no comply with President Obama’s signature legislative achievement.

The defections of 39 House Democrats breaking ranks with President Obama has highlighted the pressure on Congress to help the 4 million+ policy holders nationwide that had their health insurance canceled because of ObamaCare mandates.

Nationwide according to the Obama Administration this week only 106,185 Americans were able to make it all the way through the broken ObamaCare website selecting a health insurance plan–this number may actually be smaller if it only counted Americans finalized their enrollments by actually paying their first months premium.

Health Care OverhaulNot a Single Republican Voted For ObamaCare

(KRLA AM870) Its totally not the Democrats fault for the ObamaCare train wreck according to loony liberal lefty website Addicting Info.com which claims:

For the final bill, over 10% came from House Republicans and almost 30% came from Senate Republicans. That brings the total GOP contribution to ObamaCare  to 38.5% meaning that over a third of ObamaCare was written by the Republican party.

Senate Debt Ceiling Bill Contains $2.9 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project

Throw The Bums OutThrow The Bums Out in 2014 & 2016 –The Patriot Vision/Facebook

The Senate/House bill voted on tonight ending the 16 day ‘Government Slimdown’ which funds ObamaCare and suspends the debt ceiling, contained a $2.9 Billion Congressional earmark for Kentucky Senate RINO Mitch McConnell.

In related news, New York RINO Rep Pete King (R-NY) claimed today that the debt ceiling fiasco is a victory for America.

Riiight…Tell that too the Bonnie Doon Ice Cream employees in Indiana, the latest ObamaCare casualties that have just been laid-off this week.

Whatever happened to the GOP Pledge to America ‘that bills are debated and discussed in the public square by publishing the text online for at least three days before coming up for a vote in the House of Representatives.” They Lied.

House Speaker Boehner Capitulates to Obama on Debt Ceiling, Will the Govt Slimdown be Next?

Boehner and Obama

(WSJ) House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said today that he will agree to extend the out-of-control $16.9+ Trillion federal deficit until the 20th November, with no spending cuts and budget reforms that Boehner pledged last year, would need to be included in any future hike in federal borrowing authority.

Flashback: Remember in May, 2012 when Boehner said “When the time comes, I will again insist on my simple principle of cuts and reforms greater than the debt limit increase. This is the only avenue I see…to force the elected leadership in the country to solve our structural imbalance.”

On the 1 January, I wrote here that it’s time for Boehner to go. House Republicans had given Speaker Boehner an opportunity to redeem himself but once again, Boehner shamelessly has compromised on a pledge that he made only a year before, forfeiting any real leverage the GOP had in deficit reduction by caving into Obama’s demands.

If Conservatives want to keep the House and win control of the Senate in 2014 John Boehner needs to be ousted as Speaker and a principled leader must be chosen, lest we see a repeat of 2006 in next year’s mid-term elections.

Senate Democrats Kill House Spending Bill–Reid Refuses to Attend White House Meeting to Negotiate Compromise With GOP

Harr Reid Tax HikesSen Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) Uses Procedural Tricks to Raise Taxes on Americans  Image: The Humble Libertarian

(Washington Times) The Senate Democrat Majority voted today 54-46 to kill the House GOP latest stopgap spending measures that would have: (a) delayed implementation of ObamaCare for 1 year; (b) repealed the jobs killing medical device tax and (c) continued to pay the military.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid would have none of it arguing that the House Republicans are nothing more than bullies, “With a bully you can not let them slap you around,” adding that, “we are dealing with anarchists–they hate government—we’ve done everything we can to be fair and reasonable.”

Riiight…

On Sunday, Politico reported that President Obama considered setting down with the Congressional leadership to potentially work out a budget compromise. Sen Reid privately urged Obama to call off that meeting, according to several people familiar with the situation, warning Obama that he would not attend the meeting. Obama scrapped the idea.

Where Oh Where Was Democrat Senate Majority Leader Reid Sunday After the GOP Did Their Job?

Monday, September 30th, 2013

(Politico) The Republican led House of Representatives passed a ‘Continuing Resolution’ early Sunday morning that would fund the government through the 15 December, while delaying implementation of ObamaCare for 1 year, a repeal of the jobs killing medical device tax and provision to pay the military.

Where Oh Where Was Harry Reid All Day Sunday?

If Congress does not having a budget passed and signed by the president into law by 12:00 AM Tuesday 01 October, Democrats would like for Americans to believe that its the Republicans fault, government will shut down and the center of the universe (which Democrats seem to believe is Washington, DC) will cease to exist as we know it.

Sunday, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid most certainly was not in the Senate Chamber and has made it clear that the Senate will not reconvene until Monday at 2:00 PM

So much for the urgency.

Heritage Foundation: A Real Vote to Defund ObamaCare

Friday, September 13th, 2013

ObamaCare May Be Dangerous to Your HealthObamaCare May Be Hazardous to Your Health

(Heritage Foundation)  One of the disillusioning facts about Washington is that Congress can vote on something and that vote won’t mean a thing.

It would seem that a Congressional vote should be a meaningful occasion, with Members weighing the cost and benefits of voting for the particular measure at hand. Unfortunately, political gamesmanship often leads them to create voting opportunities that have no real impact but will allow them to tell their Constituents:”I voted for this” or “I voted against that.”

The House of Representatives was heading in that direction–considering a proposal that purported to ‘Defund ObamaCare’ but would not actually achieve that goal. That is what voters have come to expect from Capitol Hill and why Congress has such a low standing with the American people.

Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint called for an end to these “pretend votes” and gimmicks.

We don’t need empty show votes to pull the wool over the American peoples eyes we need our elected representatives to fight for the American people.

Thankfully there are other alternatives to defund ObamaCare and fund the government, including a proposal introduced on Thursday by Rep Tom Graves (R-GA) and 42 of his colleagues, that will force lawmakers to have a real debate and make the tough choices when they vote–so their votes will mean something.

We’re just 17 days out before the ObamaCare Exchanges are to open, we’ll soon see how well that goes?

If one needed proof that ObamaCare isn’t working Americans have to look no further than President Obama himself as The Washington Times reported this week.

“President Obama has already signed 14 laws that amend, rescind or otherwise change parts of his health care law and he’s taken 5 independent steps to delay the Affordable Care Act on his own.”

Public support of ObamaCare has dropped below 40% its unfair, unworkable and unaffordable. One may lose their current insurance coverage, see their hours cut back and end up with bureaucrats coming between you and your physician.

Congress should take its responsibility seriously and defund ObamaCare now.

Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid Predicts Senate Approval of Obama’s War in Syria

Obama Allies With Syrian Terrorists --Constantine SoriaoObama Endorses Al-Qaeda Terrorist Thugs in Syria –Constantine Soriao

(Politico) Despite recent polling by Gallup released yesterday that shows Americans overwhelmingly do not support taking military action in Syria by a margin of 51% opposed to 36% in favor, 13% unsure, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has predicted that his chamber will ultimately vote in favor of Obama’s war resolution in Syria.

Support for the United States entanglement in Syria is less certain in the Republican majority House of Representatives which may push back on Obama’s resolution authorizing military action by as long as a week, according to a memo by Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) sent to GOP lawmakers yesterday.

“Understanding that there are differing opinions on both sides of the aisle, it is up to President Obama to make the case to Congress and the American people that this is the right course of action–Members should expect a robust debate and vote on an authorization of use of military force pertaining to Syria in the next two week,” Cantor wrote in a memo outlining the House Republican’s fall agenda which includes:

  • The Republican led House will take up a stop-gap to keep the federal government open past the 30 September–the end of the fiscal year;
  • Legislation that may raise the debt limit, which would include measures of, “fiscal reforms and pro-growth policies which puts us on a path to balance (the budget) in ten years in exchange for another increase in the debt limit.”
  • Consideration of immigration reform legislation;
  • House bills to dismantle, delay and defund ObamaCare;
  • Enact reforms to the food stamp program;
  • Roll back environmental regulations to promote domestic energy production together with legislation to shift federal money from political conventions to children’s medical research.

Woops! Los Angeles Times Claims Democrats Led to Passage of 1964 Civil Rights Act

(Breitbart) In a stunning historical error Los Angeles Times reporters history revisionists Kathleen Hennessey, Richard Simon and Alexei Koseff claimed, reporting on the 50th Anniversary of the Martin Luther King March on Washington this week:

“Since Democrats led the passage for Civil Rights legislation that marchers pushed for in 1963, Republicans have struggled to recover with black voters, leaving a stark racial divide in American politics.”

Flashback: On the 10 June, 2012 Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit correctly noted “On this day in history in 1964, Democrats filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act.”

GOP Senate Leader Everett Dirksen (R-Illinois) condemned the Democrats 57 day filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Leading the Democrats in their opposition to Civil Rights for Black Americans was KKK Member Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) which Democrats to this day still refer to him as “the conscience of the Senate.”
