Despite Record Federal Budget Deficits, Democrat-Socialists Congressional Majority Spending Spree Continues

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Despite a record $1.4 Trillion Dollar Federal Budget Deficit during Obama’s watch the Treasury plans to borrow an additional $78 Billion Dollars that future taxpayers will be saddled with.

Democrat-Socialists that control Congress have the Power of the Purse and continue to waste taxpayers money.

California Congressional Democrats Rep. Jerry McNerney and Rep. Dennis Cardoza request $243 Million in Congressional earmarks in the 2011 Budget for such projects as $1 Million Dollars for an after school program in Manteca and $200,000 for a Stockton based gang outreach program.

California Democrat Rep. Lynn Woolsey and Rep. Mike Thompson want the taxpayers to pay $80 Million Dollars for salmon restoration in California; Rep. Mike Honda, D-CA requested $593,000 for a shark research project at San Jose State University.

Rep. Barbara Lee, D-CA is seeking $2.5 Million Dollars for a new ferry service between Berkeley and San Francisco

Ohio GOP Central Committee Gender Qualification Test

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Today while reviewing my GOP Primary Absentee Ballot (I would prefer to be registered as an Independent) I noticed that the candidates for the Ohio GOP Central Committee are divided  between gender. Why is Gender a qualification to seek any elected office?

Americans believe that Women are more qualified to be political leaders according to an August 2008 Pew Research Center Social & Demographic Trends Survey when it comes to honesty, intelligence and a handful of other character traits.

Why is it right to even ask a voter to choose any candidate based upon gender?

Does this limit the best qualified persons from serving on the Ohio GOP Central Committee?

Why is it even necessary to have an equal number of Men & Women serving on the Ohio Republican Party Central Committee?

Never A User Fee (Tax Hike) That Mitt Didn’t Like

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Romney a Conservative? Romney in 2012?

Mitt Romney wins Republican Leadership Conference test vote receiving 439 votes of  1806 ballots cast. Surely we can hope for better than Mitt Romney in 2012?

Why? Is Romney a Reagan Conservative? Clearly Not.

While Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney supported 126 user fee increases, for marriage licenses, gun registrations, blindness certificates, home deed registrations, gasoline taxes, corporate trusts, non-profit corporations, sales catalogs, never a user fee that Mitt didn’t like.

Republican National Committee, Where is the Oversight?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Erik Brown, President of  Dynamic Marketing, Inc. provided direct mail services to political campaigns, billed the Republican National Committee $1,946.25  for costs at the sleazy California “Voyeur” West Hollywood Strip Club in February.

Who was watching the purse strings at the Republican National Committee?

Last year the Washington Times reported that GOP Chairman Michael Steele, was presented with a resolution calling for new “checks and balances” on the Chairman’s power to dole out money.

Where is the oversight? Can Michael Steele delegate authority responsibly?

The buck apparently does not stop with Michael Steele who wasn’t even at the GOP but instead was on an airplane returning from a swanky RNC Hawaiian Winter Retreat while the nation is in a deep recession when it happened.

It would seem that without proper oversight and supervision that last years resolution calling for “checks and balances” at the GOP is long past due.

Subsequent to the 2008 Presidential Election, I wrote here and here that the Republican Party had lost its way and Conservatives must seize the opportunity and take our party back.

Unfortunately despite all of the rhetoric, assurances and promises made, Republican values which made our party great, real leadership and management remains lacking at the GOP
