(CNBC) The Commerce Dept reported today the U.S. economy slowed to an anemic .01% in the first quarter–the weakest pace since the end of 2012 and down from a weak 2.6% in the previous quarter.

Vandals Torch Ronald Reagan Statue at California Sports Park

(Wasington Times) Vandals set fire to a life-size statue of Ronald Reagan at the Ronald Reagan Sports Park in Temecula, California–the very same site that was praised by Reagan in the 1980’s as an example of what voluntarism and fundraising can accomplish–rather than government regulation and taxpayer dollars.
Police are seeking a suspect.
The Ronald Reagan Sports Park is accepting donations needed to repair damages to the monument.
