(Daily Signal) Bypassing Congress ‘again’ President Obama this time took executive action expanding existing federal loan options available to college students–capping monthly loan payments at 10% of the borrowers discretionary income and forgiving their remaining balance after 20 years.

Whatever happened to personal responsibility, in choosing where to go to college and paying for student loan debts that one accumulates?

VA Scandal: More Than 57,000 New Patients Waiting for First Appointment at VA Facilities

(WaPo) The Dept of Veteran Affairs said today that more than 57,000 new patients have waited more than 90 days for their first appointments and that about 13% of Schedulers indicated they were told to falsify appointment request dates to give the impression that wait times were shorter than they were.

On the 24 May, I wrote here that doctor delays (some as long as eight months) at VA hospitals in the Los Angeles area, forced American Heroes to seek patient care elsewhere.

Everyone Remembers Obama’s “Lie of the Year”

(HT Health/AP) Some consumers who bought health insurance under ObamaCare are experiencing ‘buyers remorse’ after realizing their longtime physicians are not accepting the new health care plans.

Before ObamaCare took effect, experts warned that narrow networks could impact patients access to health care especially in cheaper plans. Now with insurance cards in hand, consumers are finding their access limited across all price ranges–sometimes even after they were told their plan would include their current doctor.

Surprise–Surprise…As expected, one ObamaCare Lie after another.

Flashback Remember this Zinger: Obama claimed that health insurance premiums for a family would be $2500 lower by the end of his first term but according to the Wall Street Journal they were actually $3000 higher by January, 2013 or a spread of $5500 for a family.

On the 28 March, I wrote here thanks to ObamaCare, most cancer treatment centers are off limits too but there is a ‘silver lining’ in all of this should one believe what Rep Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claims:

(NC Register) Most everyone knows how really ~~efficient~~ inefficient government is at doing anything, which is why one must ask, why is the Obama Administration changing a program that has worked effectively for a decade?

The Obama Administration has quietly stopped funding AIDS–relief programs in South Africa organized by the Catholic Church, handing the money instead over to the government.

President George W Bush launched ‘President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief’ (PEPFAR) in 2003 which enabled money to go directly to the hands of field operators–many of whom belonged to the Catholic Church.

The program which has been supporting AIDS relief by the South African Bishops Conference for 10 years will end in June, 2014 and instead money will be given to the country’s Natl (Socialistic) Health Care System.
