(CHCF) The average monthly health insurance premium in California was $1467 for a family and $560 for single coverage–these figure include the employer contribution.
Covered California premiums which include employer contributions were 11% higher than the national average and 5% higher for a family –historically California Health Ins premiums have been lower than the national average.

The two hostages together with American Citizens turned accused Islamic Jihadists Ahmed Farouq and Adam Gadhan of Orange County (California) were killed which White House Press Secy Josh Earnest said in a statement:
“We have concluded that Ahmed Farouq an American who was an Al-Qaeda leader…we have also concluded that Adam Gadahn an American who became a prominent member of Al-Qaeda was killed…”
I have just two question for Obama?
When did these two American citizens, accused Al-Qaeda members relinquish their 5th Amendment right of ‘Due Process’ and who made Barack Obama, their judge, jury and executioner?
On the 05 February, 2013 I wrote here that while I often times am a critic of and disagree with the ACLU, on the issue of the Obama Administration use of lethal force to take out allegedly undesirable American citizens living abroad, I do agree that it ‘underscores the recklessness of the governments central claim and the deficiencies in the government’s defense of it…are so vague and elastic that they will be easily manipulated.’
In March, 2012 former New Jersey Superior Ct Judge and now FOX News Senior Judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano wrote “Can the president kill an American simply because the person is dangerous and his arrest is impractical? Can the president be judge, jury and executioner of an American in a foreign country because he believes that would keep America safe?
We live in a time in which the government recognizes no limits on its power–It doesn’t recognize natural law–It doesn’t recognize federal law. It doesn’t recognize the Constitution…the POTUS…became jusge, jury and executioner for a very hated and probably guilty individual (Anwar al-Awlaki) but the 5th Amendment says that ‘no person shall be denied life, liberty or property’ much less an American, without due process of law…”

2015 Christian Service Award Recipients –Image: Tidings
(Tidings Online) Peter Masado a Senior at St. Genevieve High School in Panorama City, enjoys devoting both time and energy to serving his fellow students and parish community as campus ministry president.
In that role Masado, has engaged with friends, learned new skills and developed leadership abilities but the Summer, Masado spent volunteering outside of his immediate communities is an experience that will stay with him for a lifetime.
As an Emergency Room volunteer at ‘Valley Presbyterian Hospital’ in Van Nuys, Masado helped deliver lab samples, ensured the availability of clean bed linens in all rooms and provided snacks, water and blankets to weary, waiting patients.
Masado recalled, ‘the most miraculous thing I’ve seen is a baby being born right outside the hospital, an emergency delivery took place in the parking lot. That happened on the first day of my volunteer experience and that just really opened my eyes to the miracle of life. It was amazing.’
Masado was among 78 Seniors from 51 Catholic High Schools throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles that were honored on the 18 March for their exemplary community service during the annual Christian Service Awards Mass held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels–the event also honored seven exceptional Catholic High School teachers.

AffordableUnaffordable Care Act would cost him $7,000 per full-time employee to provide health care coverage leaving him with few options:Cut costs, eliminate staff, reduce hours or convert workers to part-time status.
Facing the prospect of ObamaCare’s employer mandate taking effect on 01 January, 2015 Womack was forced to sell his IHOP franchise.

(Fox News Los Angeles) California Water Cops have OKd more restrictions on lawn watering and are adding new limits on water use by businesses as the drought persists.
The State Water Resources Control Board voted unanimously Tuesday, to extend and expand its emergency drought regs–California residents can not turn their sprinklers on everyday under the new rules, customers must ask for water at restaurants and be given an opportunity to decline fresh sheets and towels at hotels–violators face up to $500 a day in fines but its up to local water Cops to enforce the rules.
Earlier this month,the San Jose Mercury News reported that three of the largest Bay Area water agencies — the Santa Clara Water Valley District, East Bay Municipal Water District and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, that serve some 5.8 million people are considering water rate hikes by as much as 30% this year because they are selling a lot less water as customers are conserving due to the drought.
California water regulators get one coming and going. Should one waste water, they’re subject to fines and should one conserve too much water, they face increased costs due to their conservation.
Last year I wrote here here and here if not for California’s wacky environmentalist policies and want for more overly burdensome and crippling regulations that are driving away business investment and opportunity, legislators in Sacramento over the years, could have invested resources wisely for the future by constructing life-saving desalination plants along the coastline such as Israel’s Sorek Desalination Plant that provides 26,000 cubic meters or 7 million gallons of clean portable water every hour to over 1.5 million people.
While Santa Barbara has finally seen the light and ‘may’ modernize and finally reactivate the Charles E. Meyer Desalination Facility after being mothballed for the past 23 years, much more can be done to utilize the vast natural resources abundant and readily available but unfortunately, still under utilized.
