(The BlackSphere) Back in 1929 Republican Teddy Roosevelt invited Jessie Williams DePriest, an African-American Woman to a Tea Party for Congressional wives.

In fact, she was the first African-American Woman to be invited to a social event at the White House but even then, Democrats were upset at the Tea Party as most would not even shake the hand of Mrs Oscar DePriest, wife of African-American Congressman Oscar Stanton DePriest (R-Illinois) serving from 1929-1935

Shove this little bit of Republican history in the face of Loony Liberal Lefties the next time they claim that Republicans are racists.

Anonymous IRS Cincinnati Service Center Official: Everything Comes From The Top

(Washington Examiner) A story in the Washington Post late last week about the Internal Revenue Service, Cincinnati ~~Service~~ Disservice Center, which is tapped to do most of the auditing of 501(c)(4) applications of not for profit groups and organizations, clearly contradicted earlier reports that the IRS targeting of Conservative, Jewish and religious groups was the result of rogue agents.

The Washington Post story quoted an anonymous staffer in Cincinnati who said they only operate by directives from headquarters.

On Friday, outgoing IRS Commissioner Steven Miller testified before the House Ways & Means Committee and claimed that targeting of Conservative groups is ‘absolutely not illegal.’

(WeeklyStandard) IRS Acting Commissioner Steven Miller testifying today at a House Ways & Means Committee Hearing claimed that targeting Conservative groups ‘absolutely was not illegal.’

It definitely wasn’t very reassuring to learn today, that Miller who is taking early retirement from his post at the IRS, was responsible for promoting Sarah Hall Ingram to head the ObamaCare enforcement division.

(Washington Examiner) Sarah Hall Ingram the IRS Commissioner in charge of the Tax Exempt Division in 2010 when it began targeting Conservatives, Tea Party groups and Jewish organizations, received more than $100,000 in bonuses between 2009-2012

More recently, Ingram was promoted to head the new ObamaCare Enforcement Office and will oversee the vast expansion if the IRS’s regulatory authority and staffing as ABC News reported earlier today.

Ironically, the Senate Watergate hearings began 40 years ago this week.
