I am very concerned about this. There is obviously much ambition on the part of the PRC leaders. The US and her Asian allies need to be very vigilent in keeping an eye on what the PRC and it’s armed forces are up to. Keep in mind that they have not renounced use of force in taking Taiwan, an independent democratic country.
On 08 March, 2007 The Heritage Foundation had an excellent post about China’s rapid military expansion to become a Military Superpower while the Democrat-Socialists that control Congress, sat on their hands, ignoring the existential threat to U.S. Military Superiority.

You are very correct, PRC is a threat to Taiwan which as you know China calls a “renegade province.” Unfortunately President Obama has assured the Chinese Communist Party that he is committed to the “One China Policy” totalitarianism for U.S. ally Taiwan.
