Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on My holy mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, it is near–a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. Like blackness spread upon the mountains, a great and powerful army comes, their like has never been from old, nor will be again after them in ages to come. –Joel 2:1-2
The Lord utters His voice at the head of His army, how vast is His host. Numberless are those who obey His command. Truly the Day of the Lord is great, terrible indeed-who can endure it?
Yet even now, says the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping and with mourning, rend your hearts and not your clothing. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and relents from punishing. –Joel 2:11-13
Make me to know Your ways O Lord, teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation, for You I wait all day long.
Be mindful of Your mercy, O Lord and Your steadfast love, from they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your steadfast love remember me for Your goodness sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord, therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble his way. –Psalm 25:4-9
