Obamanomics: Jobs & Hoops –California Political Review
(LA Daily News) Seventeen more stores are being shuttered in California subsequent to the bankruptcy sale of Orchard Supply Hardware, company officials confirmed yesterday throwing some 850 more people out of work as the state’s joblessness worsens ticking up to 8.7% in July from 8.5% during the previous month.
On Thursday I wrote here that San Jose based Cisco Systems announced this week that they’ll be laying off 4,000 employees or about 5% of their workforce.
In July, President Obama pivoted on job’s for the 19th time since taking office, while almost simultaneously defending his dismal economic record in Illinois before heading to of all places Los Angeles this month for his latest appearance on the Jay Leno Show where Obama claimed there are a lot of ‘good economic trends’ during his watch.
