“Equality Comes From God Not @Bernie Sanders” –Catholic Vote
Kate Fugate: “Catholicism and Socialism? Incompatible Catholic Vote
“…Government officials and academics are constantly attempting to throw capitalism overboard so that socialism can reign free. They conveniently ignore that socialism has never worked in human history, ending either in economic disaster or mass genocide. They fail to openly acknowledge that socialism and its–distribution of wealth and property runs contrary to human nature.
They demonize capitalism and businessmen despite being afforded their positions, jobs and wealth through a capitalistic society…
Socialism and its disciple Sanders are not friends of Catholicism. Sanders plan fundamentally undermines the spirit of Christian charity, assuming the marginalized will only be cared for if the federal government forces you to care…”

Look at your Bible. Socialism started with the first century Church. They pooled their wealth among themselves and helped one another out.
Just like the Jewish Kibbutz. And the first rule of the Kibbutz is, “If you don’t work, you don’t eat” Even if it is only sweeping the floor, you must work.
Check out the Book of Acts. You might be amazed.
While it has become customary for liberals and some educators over the years to make the claim you have, early Christian teaching does not support this.
In fact, Pope Leo XIII addressed this very matter more than a century ago stating that Socialists debase the natural union of man, woman and assail the right of property. “They (socialists, communists and nihilists) debase the natural union of man and woman which is held sacred even among barbarous peoples and is bond by which the family is chiefly held together, they weaken or even deliver up to lust. Lured in fine by the greed of present goods which is the root of all evils, which some coveting have erred from the faith. (1 Timothy 6:10-11) They assail the right of property sanctioned by natural law and by a scheme of horrible wickedness, while they seem desirous of caring for the needs and satisfying the desires of all men, they strive to seize and hold in common whatever has been acquired by title or lawful inheritance, or by labor of brain and hands or by the thrift in ones mode of life.” (Encyclical Quod Apostolici Muneris, 28 Dec 1878)
“…socialists are members of other seditious societies, who labor unceasingly to destroy the state even to its foundations.” (Encyclical Libertas Praestantissimum, 20 June, 1888)
Leslie A. St L. Toke, the 20th Century author in a scholarly treatise addressed Socialism and Christianity stating: “The trend of the Socialist movement — and the deliberate pronouncements and habitual thought of leaders and followers alike are almost universally found to be antagonistic to Christianity.” These three Popes (Pius IX, Leo XIII and Pius X) have come into contact with modern Socialism and ‘have formally condemned it.’ (http://www.catholic.com/encyclopedia/socialism)
