ObamaCare—Disregarding the U.S. Constitution

Democrat-Socialists ignoring the Constitution pass ObamaCare with a partisan vote of 219-212 on Sunday that will explode federal spending, drive consumer medical costs through the roof and lead to health care rationing.

State Atty Generals from around the country have filed suit to block ObamaCare arguing among other things that it exceeds the power of the United States under Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution and violates the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Georgetown University Law Professor Randy E. Barnett, wrote in a Sunday Washington Post article entitled, “Can the Constitution Stop Health Care Reform?”

“If you choose to drive a car, then maybe you can be made to buy insurance against the possibility of inflicting harm on others but making you buy insurance merely because you are alive is a claim of power from which many Americans instinctively shrink…”

“We are fast approaching a tipping point where more Americans depend on the federal government than on themselves—a point where we, the American people trade our commitment and our concern for our individual liberties in exchange for government benefits and dependencies.” Rep.Paul D. Ryan, (R-WI)
