U.S. Sailors Death Continues To Haunt Dad

Patrick Mack, USN

It’s been more than 18 months since a U.S. Navy Officer, showed up at the door of Dan Mack’s home outside of Detroit, MI with the grim news, his eldest son Patrick was dead.

The bodies of U.S. Navy Engineman 1st Class Patrick Mack and his shipmate Engineman Fireman Lonnie Davis, Jr. were found in a hotel room in the West African nation of Ghana, the morning after a New Year’s eve party.

An autopsy later attributed Mack’s death to a lethel mix of drugs and alcohol but relatives of the 22 year old Sailor said, the church going newlywed had too much going in life to get mixed up on drugs.

The autopsy finding is just one of many red flags Mack’s family have cited as they continue to look for answers but NCIS investigators remain tight lipped about this “open and on-going” case.

As a last ditch effort, Dan Mack is pleading with U.S. Senator Carl Levin, D-MI to help, he has distributed more than 200 fliers detailing alleged missteps in the investigation during a presidential visit last month at McComb Community College.

It’s been a year and a half, if his death was self-induced why are they still investigating?
